Learn the Basics of Cyanotype Workshop
Friday 18th JULY
Becket's Chapel, Church Street, Wymondham, NR18 0PH
12-3pm
Cyanotype is one of the simplest forms of photography. When objects are placed on top of coated paper and exposed to sunlight, they create a distinctive blue and white image
In a small group you will be going from the beginning of the process of coating the paper to a finished image, with Danielle guiding you, and giving you hints and tips along the way to get the most out of your experience.
All Equipment will be supplied, and each participant will get to coat a handful of A5 sized paper and be given a few pre-coated papers to expose as well.
Hopefully the Sun will be out, if not we will be using a UV Lamp.
Danielle will bring a collection of dried flowers and other foraged foliage, papers and other materials to make a cyanotype but feel free to bring along anything you’d like to use (it doesn’t have to be flowery – anything that lies quite flat and which blocks the light will create an image).
No previous experience is needed.
Once booked you’ll be sent more details of what to expect on the day.
Who is it for? The workshop is more aimed at adults, but older Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult
Length of workshop 2-3 hours - with a short break halfway
This workshop is running alongside the exhibition at Becket's Chapel called "By Hand and Tool" that Danielle is part of , open daily 11-4pm from July 15th-20th
